- off-the-rack: apparel that is mass-produced in standard sizes
- ombré: closely related tones of color with monochromatic shading from light to dark of single color
- opaque: term applied to gems and fabrics through which no light passes
- open-to-buy (OTB): a calculation based on difference between merchandise a buyer plans to order over a specified period and what has already been ordered
- organza: lightweight, thin, transparent fabric that is stiff and wiry
- oxford cloth: men’s shirting fabric made in a basket weave, sometimes 2×2 and sometimes 4×2. Better grades are mercerized
