Although not a full-fledged style icon, Tory Burch provided some serious insight into leather jackets this season....and going forward. I own an old school leather jacket and it's seen more miles and countries than most people -- it's versatile (perfect for layering during shoulder seasons, and great over a heavy sweater when it's a bit colder).

- So they're not just for tomboys? Not at all even though [Tory] is the biggest one. I love pairing a jacket with sequins or anything a little bit glamorous.
- What about leather for spring? It's seasonless depending on how you wear it. Delicate leathers....are light enough to wear during the summer.
Leather made a huge appearance on the runways in New York and you can expect it to stick around so, choose wisely. A great leather jacket with few embellishments can be worn for years (they only get better with time) and can be worn across several occasions.
